Purchased in 1965 by Al Kaufman & Jay Timmons Hiebert was a 5000 sq.’ cabinetry shop located on Yukon Ave Torrance Southern California. In 1968 the company built & moved to a new 150,000 sq.’ plant on Telo Ave. A few years later (1981) Hiebert expanded again and moved to a new 475,000 sq.’ facility in Carson. At that time they were the largest wood manufacturer of casegoods and wood systems in the country with 1,000 cabinet workers.
For decades the lounge set below was used by our family until finally coming to rest in a garage.
After many hours of careful restoration the end result would do Al and Jay’s legacy proud i would say.
